Despite being a secondary deemed middle school, we proudly offer pupils in years 5 and 6 an experience similar to that which is found in a traditional primary school. In these year groups, pupils spend the majority of their school day being taught in their form room, by their form teacher. This enables us to match the needs of our pupils with the excellent pastoral provisions that we have on offer. It also allows us to strongly develop each child’s literacy capabilities and therefore unlock their potential in all aspects of learning. Lessons that are not taught by the form teacher give pupils the opportunity to venture out to other parts of the school and receive specialist teaching, these subjects are as follows: Design and Technology, Computer Science, PE, Music and Maths. This approach allows us to blend the best aspects from both a primary and secondary school experience.
