First Aid

If your child is feeling unwell at home, please do not send them to school and contact your GP if you are at all concerned.

If your child becomes ill at school we will call you for further advice or in an emergency call 999 immediately. Please ensure we have at least two up to date telephone numbers where we can contact you in an emergency.

We have First Aid trained staff based throughout the school to deal with minor injuries. We ask pupils to remain in lessons unless it is an emergency or they have a medical condition, and wait until a break time to seek advice from first aiders.

A First Aider is stationed on the yard at lunchtime and can be identified by the orange jacket.

It is very important that your child has a good breakfast and a water bottle in school to help prevent most headaches and tummy pains.

Pupils who have more complicated medical conditions are identified to staff who familiarise themselves with their condition and any early indicators of their illness.
