At Churnet View Middle School we believe that Music is a powerful, unique form of communication that can change the way pupils feel, think and act. Music brings together intellect and feeling and enables personal expression, reflection and emotional development.
Learning to play an instrument is a lifelong gift and we believe that our specialist teachers will pass on to their students a love of music that will enrich their lives forever.
Instrumental lessons are delivered by Entrust peripatetic tutors. Our team of peripatetic instrumental tutors work part time in school to deliver high quality learning and achieve excellent results.
Our aims are:
· To enable students to achieve their full potential irrespective of age, ability and background.
· To ensure the instrumental service functions effectively and successfully and that it responds to the needs of students, parents, staff and the wider community.
· To establish positive relationships between home and school by seeking to involve parents in all musical aspects of school life.
· To set high standards and create a musical environment in which all are treated with understanding and respect.
If your child would like to start or to continue learning an instrument, then please contact myself for more details.
